There’s something about Palm Beach – the sunshine, the society, and, of course, the secrets. Michelle Gable’s The Beautiful People delivers a delightful story set in this luxurious playground of the rich and restless.
As someone who thrives on astrology, people-watching, and a good cup of coffee (or three), I found myself enchanted by the glitz and gossip of this world.
“Palm Beach is where secrets are whispered under designer sunglasses.”
What I Loved
Michelle Gable has a way of making settings come alive, and her depiction of Palm Beach was pure perfection. The characters, with their messy, glamorous lives, felt like real people I might gossip about over brunch.
I particularly enjoyed the way she interwove the lives of a modern-day historian with the past scandals of Palm Beach’s elite. The social dynamics were juicy and full of twists that kept me hooked.
“The past has a funny way of surfacing – especially in a place like Palm Beach.”
What I Didn’t Love
Some of the supporting characters didn’t get as much depth as I would’ve liked, and there were moments where the pacing slowed a bit. However, these were minor distractions in an otherwise immersive story.
“In a town built on wealth and whispers, the truth is the most valuable currency.”
Final Thoughts
This is a story about ambition, identity, and the cost of chasing perfection. It’s a reminder that even in paradise, everyone has their struggles.
This book is for:
- Fans of beachside dramas with a mix of modern and historical storytelling
- Readers who love juicy secrets and social intrigue
- Anyone who dreams of escaping to Palm Beach (even just in their imagination)
Michelle Gable’s The Beautiful People is an indulgent read, perfect for those who love glitz, drama, and a touch of scandal. Whether you’re soaking up the sun or curled up with coffee, this book will transport you to the glamorous world of Palm Beach.
It’s a 4/5 star read from me!
