As a parent, the thought of losing sight of your child – even for a second – is terrifying. Someone Saw Something taps into that primal fear and twists it into a psychological thriller that will keep you on edge. When a young boy vanishes without a trace during a family outing, the race to find him uncovers dark secrets, unreliable witnesses, and a mother’s desperate right to uncover the truth.

“The truth is out there, hiding in the memories of those who refuse to see it.”

What I Loved

The way Mofina captures a parent’s worst nightmare is nothing short of chilling. The emotional intensity never lets up, making it impossible to put the book down. The shifting perspectives between the mother, the detectives, and potential witnesses add layers of tension. The twists are well-executed, keeping me guessing until the final chapters.

“Sometimes, what you see is not nearly as important as what you remember.”

What I Didn’t Love

There were moments when the pacing slowed a bit too much, focusing on the investigative details that, while realistic, slightly pulled me away from the urgency of the case. Some characters felt more developed than others, making certain perspectives more engaging than others.

“Everyone sees something. But not everyone is willing to admit it.”

Final Thoughts

This book explores memory, guilt, and the consequences of silence. It highlights how people perceive events differently, how fear influences what we choose to reveal, and the lengths a mother will go to in order to protect her child.

This book is for:

  • Fans of psychological thrillers and missing persons mysteries
  • Readers who enjoy fast-paced investigative dramas
  • Anyone who loves emotional, high-stakes storytelling

Someone Saw Something is a tense, emotional thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. While the pacing slowed in places, the suspense and emotional depth made this a memorable read. If you love thrillers that explore the fragility of memory and the dark corners of human nature, this one is worth picking up.
